2020 Burns Lake Show & Shine

2019 Show & Shine a resounding success!

On behalf of everyone at the Burns Lake Classic Car Club, we extend our gratitude to you for making it out to this year’s Show. What an amazing turn out this past weekend, with 83 cars that came out on Sunday. This was one of the largest amount of cars the Burns Lake Show & Shine has seen.

The weekend started off on Saturday with an evening cruise out to Topley & dinner at Grizzly Jim’s. It was well attended with nearly forty people and twenty cars partaking. Grizzly Jim was ready and waiting for the crew with a spectacular buffet dinner. A hat’s off to them for such a delicious meal.

On Sunday the Show & Shine’s weather was a bit chilly in the morning but it did warm up for the afternoon, this overcast made for some beautiful pictures that I will be posting soon. The sprinkle of rain as the show came to a close did not put a damper on the smiles I saw as they arrived at the BBQ hosted by Homeside Antiques. Kevin and Kelly had the BBQ ready when the folks started arriving after the cruise & poker run. Such welcoming and excellent hosts.

At the show, seeing the people milling around, deep in conversations on the work that had gone into their cars, made it all worthwhile.
It truly takes a community to host a show as there are many countless hours put in to the making of a show & so many volunteers on the day of & many donations from businesses & individuals.

We deeply appreciate the willingness with which many people & businesses have donated to our Show and Shine event to make our town a happier, more diverse place to live in.

Special thanks goes out to our sponsors and donors:

Burns Lake Show & Shine 2019

If you’ve never been to a car show before, you may not know exactly what happens. Do people just stand around looking at cars? Is there anything for sale? Why do people attend these kinds of shows?

Car shows are usually attended by people of all ages who have one thing in common: they love cars. That’s the only requirement. It doesn’t really matter if they’ve been to dozens of shows and understand every small detail about an engine or if they’ve never been to a car show and simply like to look at cool cars.

Everyone is welcome to the annual Burns Lake Show and Shine held in Burns Lake at the Spirit Square.  This year the Burns Lake Show and Shine is on June 23rd from 10am-2pm.  Following the show is a Poker Run and Cruise.  Ending our show this year will be the BBQ out at Homeside Antiques at 3:30pm for our show and shine participants.

Classic Car Enthusiasts of the Lakes District!

Not really a club, but a group of classic car enthusiasts, is a good way to describe the people who put on the Burns Lake Show & Shine every year.  "We're just a bunch of car guys who wanted a local event," one explains.  Read more on the "About Us" page...
